The grand opening of the 28th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” took place
On November 15, the grand opening of the 28th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” (hereinafter referred to as TITF-2023) took place in the second pavilion of the National Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocentre”. The organizers of the fair are the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Tourism Committee, the State Unitary Enterprise “National PR-Centre”, the company “Team & Co Group”.
The general partner of TITF-2023 was “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC. The pavilion of the National Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocentre” has traditionally been chosen as the venue for the fair.

TITF is an annual tourism event held since 1995 with the support of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Every year the exhibition brings together hundreds of tourism industry professionals from around the world and creates conditions for the development of this industry at the international level.
The opening of TITF-2023 was attended by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways JSC – Umid Khusanov, the President of the Fund for Support of Tourism Development in the Kyrgyz Republic – Sherniyazov Abylkasym, the Advisor to the Chairman of the State Agency for Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic – Kenan Guluzadeh, as well as fair participants, both local and international organizations and media representatives.
Also on the first day of the fair, two sessions were held with leading international and national experts on the topics: “The role of culture in tourism development of the country”, “Presentation of new tourist destinations” and presentations of private projects.
As part of this fair, there is a tourism exhibition, where 20 foreign countries are participating, a gastro-bazaar with the participation of famous chefs, a forum with the participation of leading international and domestic specialists in the field of tourism, as well as B2B meetings between representatives of private companies from different countries, round tables , exhibitions of tourism services and handicrafts.
This year, up to 15 thousand visitors from the local population and from the CIS countries, Asia and Europe are expected to attend the TITF-2023 site. Visitors and participants of the fair will be able to take advantage of a unique chance to learn about new tourist destinations and immerse themselves in the colorful atmosphere, culture and traditions of foreign countries. And also, it will be possible to assess the tourism potential of new locations in all regions of Uzbekistan.
In 2023, the list of organizations providing partner support for TITF-2023 has expanded significantly. The financial partner of TITF-2023 is “ASIA ALLIANCE BANK”, the information partners are “Dunyo bo‘ylab” and “Profi travel”, and other local and foreign media and companies. Along with local partners, the organizers of TITF-2023 managed to reach an agreement with the Moscow Tourism Committee – Discover Moscow, which is a partner of eco-bags at the 28th Tashkent International Tourism Fair.
