At the ceremonial event dedicated to World Tourism Day, the greeting from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to industry workers was read out by the Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (https://t.me/Press_Secretary_Uz/7943) Sherzod Asadov. In the greeting, it was noted that the policy of openness, the simplification of the visa regime, and the development of transport and hotel infrastructure have given a new impetus to the tourism industry. In 2025, nearly 12 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan, and tourism service exports reached 4.8 billion dollars. Tasks were also outlined for developing new areas of tourism, expanding modern services, and further strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in the global tourism market. In recognition of the work of industry employees, it was proposed to establish the honorary title “Honored Worker of Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
