More than 4 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan in four months

The number of tourist trips to Uzbekistan has increased by almost 30% in four months,reportsNational Statistics Committee

From January to April, 4.048 million foreign citizens crossed the border of the republic for tourism purposes. Compared to the sameperiodBy 2025, their number increased by 930.8 thousand people.

Kyrgyzstan continues to increase its gap from other countries in terms of the number of trips to Uzbekistan. Since the beginning of the year, 1.141 million trips have been registered, which is 21% more than last year.

Tajikistan took second place with 965.4 thousand trips, which is 21.6% higher than the 2025 level. Kazakhstan closes the top three with 935 thousand trips, showing an increase of more than 1.5 times compared to last year.

The number of tourists from Russia amounted to 341.8 thousand (+42.4%). Afghanistan also remains in the top five with 161.5 thousand trips, but the increase was the lowest in the group (+3.1%).

Inbound tourism from China has increased significantly - 132.24 thousand trips, which is 3.47 times more than last year. In March-April alone, more than 83 thousand Chinese tourists arrived in the country.

Türkiye, with 57.7 thousand tourists, dropped to 8th place, despite a slight increase over the year (+16.8%). At the same time, two countries showed a decrease compared to last year: Turkmenistan - by 1% (to 108.4 thousand), and India - by 29% (16,057 people). South Korea closes the top 10 with 12.1 thousand trips.

Separately, there is an increase in tourist flow from foreign countries. For example, the number of travelers from Canadahas grownby almost 16% to reach 2,175. According to available data for three months, Japanese touristswentto Uzbekistan 1.7 times more often than last year, andGerman- 48.9% more often.
