Uzbekistan and the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism.

The document provides for the creation of special tour packages, the establishment of direct connections between trade unions and tourism organizations and the promotion of tourism in Uzbekistan in Russia.



The parties plan to develop family and children`s, health resort, medical, cultural, environmental and ski tourism.



Special attention will be paid to pilgrimage tourism for residents of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and other regions of Russia. The route may include Samarkand, Bukhara, Tashkent, the Center of Islamic Civilization and the Imam Bukhari complex.



Business and industrial tourism will also be developed, reports the Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
