On November 21, at the CAEx International Exhibition Center, the grand opening of the 29th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” took place. The fair is organized by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Tourism Committee, the State Unitary Enterprise “National PR-Centre,” the company “Team & Co Group.”

“Uzbekistan Airways” JSC became the general partner of the TITF-2024. This year, the Tashkent International Tourism Fair is being held for the first time in the “CAEx” International Exhibition Center (Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan).

The Tashkent International Tourism Fair is a major information event that promotes tourism products and establishes business contacts and contacts for cooperation. Over the past three decades, the TITF has proven itself as one of the most prominent events in the field of tourism and is the largest event in Central Asia, which is held annually with the official support of the UNWTO.

The opening of the TITF-2024 was attended by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Umid Shadiev, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways – Umid Khusanov, Minister of Tourism of Goa – Sri Rohan Khaute, Governor of Primorsky region – Oleg Kozemyako, Director of the Department of Institutional Relations, Partnership and Promotion, UN Tourism Office – Dilyor Khakimov, as well as participants of the fair, representatives of both local and international organizations and mass media.

Also, on the first day of the fair, two sessions were held with leading international and national experts on the topics: “Tourism Potential of Individual Regions: Exploring Diverse Destinations and Growth Opportunities”, “Tourism Potential of China’s Provinces: A Journey Through Tradition, Nature, and Innovation” and presentations of private projects.

Within the framework of this fair, a tourism exhibition with the participation of 19 foreign countries, a forum with the participation of leading international and domestic specialists in the field of tourism, as well as B2B meetings between representatives of private companies from different countries, round tables, exhibitions of tourist services and handicraft art “Craft Fair Uzbekistan” are held.

It should also be noted that the TITF-2024 brings together tourism business experts from all over the world and brings benefit to all representatives of this sphere: employees of leading tourism and transport companies, the largest hotel chains, diplomatic corps, educational institutions in the field of tourism, as well as representatives of MICE tourism.

A feature of the TITF-2024 was the participation of new exhibitors from the regions of the Russian Federation, such as the Republic of Altai and the Vladimir region, as well as new companies from Georgia, the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. These companies, along with exhibitors working in new areas, including cruise travel, will significantly expand their international presence at the exhibition and create unique opportunities for establishing business contacts and concluding partnership agreements.

Also, this year, the participation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China deserves special attention, which was presented for the first time under the National Pavilion of China within the framework of the TITF-2024. Their presence at the TITF-2024 highlights the growing importance of international cooperation in the field of tourism and culture, as well as opens up new opportunities for strengthening cultural and economic ties between Uzbekistan and China.

This year, up to 25,000 visitors from the CIS, Asia and Europe are expected to attend the TITF-2024. Visitors and participants of the fair will have a unique opportunity to learn about new tourist destinations, immerse themselves in the colorful atmosphere, culture and traditions of foreign countries. It will also be possible to assess the tourism potential of new locations in all regions of Uzbekistan.
